[Updated] Diablo 3 and my horrible luck.

So I found out today that I have to have work done on my eyes on May 15th :( so i will be effectively Blind for 2 days after the game comes out. However, I will be there at midnight to pick it. Even worse is that I will be home from work and Will not be able to Watch Television, Read a book, or play any games at all. Just chilling out talking to folks I suppose.

Here is my update.

Good news is I am actually able to see pretty good (eyes are sore kinda like when you are tired and they do not want to be open)
They also want to get me on a new prescription so I need to get new glasses (not a candidate for Contacts or Lasik)
I attempted to play Diablo 3 late last night however, i could not focus on any of the writing so that did not go over well.
Should be able to start playing tonight.

Music will be your aid. Think of it as an experience, I bet you never do it again in your life :) Read aloud books can be useful too.

Remember some people have the misfortune to be born blind/disease/accident/etc!

On the plus side you wont be able to load up neowin and read all the comments of people happily enjoying it either :p

But stirring aside, hope the work on the eyes goes well mate :)

i am actually surprised that during the beta the servers were rather stable even during the open weekend so I have hope that the first day might be a bit slow but after that it should be fine.

also just got to thinking i could listen to the games sound track that day :p

Err.. servers were down for like 1/4 of the whole 3 days. There were periods of hours where no one could login, and extreme instability throughout Friday night and most of Saturday.

However, I do believe Blizzard has had time to remedy this before launch. Maybe.
