Picked up the Verizon Wireless Galaxy S3 Yesterday , so far so good. some of the bloat is rather annoying however, android 4.0 is able to disable most of those apps. Funny thing is this phone does everything i had previously modified my other phones to do using root out of the box except for 1 thing (block ads in applications) It does everything else i had modified my Droid 3 and OG Droid to do without any further modifications. So for the time being (Until they manager to put custom roms on the GS3 Verizon model.) I will leave it unrooted and see where it goes.
Rooted the GS3 this morning and all is well with the world. Removed the Verizon junk as well as replaced the Boot Animation with the International Version rather than the Verizon Specific one.
Well, it took you a day to root it...lol.
yeah originally i was going to leave it unrooted for a while but i kept seeing things i needed to change on the phone that i did not like (constant wifi notification nagging to connect to wifi, inability to turn off certain pop ups, vzw boot animation that was longer than international version, and a few other things) without root i could not remove any of those things.
Going good with latest technol;ogy. It shows creativity.
