Font rendering always looks terrible in Virtualbox. I have about 7 VMs at work for various testing reasons, and the fonts always look horrendous 
I know tell me about it!
It just gets annoying knowing that whatever I do, it will not get any better. That and the fact it is slow as hell

Sorry didnt notice I had comments on here!
I believe that Faenza was used around here and that there was a couple of extensions to add Gnome2 styled "Start menu".
As for partitions, I really couldnt remember as its just set up in a VirtualBox VM atm.
When I finally get around to putting it on my desktop, I'll put a post up with much more detailed info.
