Computers, Phones, and Cancer...

- Recently my dad was diagnoised with colorectal cancer. He has had surgery that was done to remove the cancer and twelve inches of his colon. Currently he has healed from those wounds and is undergoing chemo therapy as a prevenative to keep it in remission. (Update: Since the begining of chemo, he has lost his house, job, and short term diability.)
- The end if May I built myself a new computer using a Shuttle SA76G2 and many other parts. Its my second build and I do have to say myself that it went smoothly. The computer sports the AMD Phenom II x2 555 Black Edition and 4 GBs of DD2 800Mhz Ram and a Kingston 64 GB SSD.
- I recently sold my iPhone 3G in hopes of getting the highly anticipated iPhone 4. A review will be posted accordingly after much use has been done on the phone.
- I purchased my first subscrption to Neowin and I will every year from now on. It has helped me very much since I have become a member since October of 2007.
Thank you Neowin and its users for everything you have tought me throughout the years!
:)

Best wishes to your Dad, and thanks for subscribing :)
Thank you Neobond!
I hope your dad makes a full recovery. You made a good choice going for the SSD. Have you noticed a big improvement over regular hard drives?
Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Dad!

Congrats on the tech updates and upgrades! Bet that feels pretty good! Oh yeah...not sure if I was the only one who thought this but...looking at your title there, I was thinking you were blogging on a connection between the three. YIKES! lol
@ Aaron,
Thanks! The computer I had before was a HP Workstation xw4600, and everything was an improvement. I do think the 20s boot time is pretty awesome and it is VERY low power. 230 Watt power supply is running the whole thing.

@ Medfordite,
Thanks! I thought about the topic after the fact of posting it. The upgrades were long due!
