0 Eric Veteran Posted July 10, 2015 Veteran Share Posted July 10, 2015 You can try to repair it from the Tools menu but it's not likely you will get all of the files out of it if the file is corrupted.

0 Tidosho
RAR supports Recovery Records, which allow the file to be repaired partially, but the option isn't enabled by default. Can you open the file in WinRAR at all? If yu can. click the Info button along the top. On this next dialog, nearly all the way down you'll see Dictionary Size, and Recovery Record. The latest version of WinRAR allows 100% recovery record, but if it's missing you'll see "Absent". If the record is absent, there's still a tiny bit of hope. When you're in the view of the inside of the RAR, click the two dots (..) at the top of the file list. Click the Repair button that will now be on the far right of the button bar next to SFX you see in my below image, then accept the default option on the next dialog. Your repaired file will be in the same location as the original, but with "rebuilt." at the start of the file name. There are two types of main damage. Header damage, and file damage. If only your headers are damaged you might still get files out of it
