Win10 Word Mobile only allows one instance?

Recommended Posts

I'm running Word Mobile in Win10 desktop mode but it doesn't seem to allow opening concurrent instances and it's pretty annoying when having to copy multiple parts from other documents. Is that how it's supposed to work?

Also does the app have any limitation when ran without an Office 365 subscription? I saw some reviews saying it doesn't allow saving but I remember reading they didn't add free/paid limitations to the app yet.

Yes, at the moment, you can only run one instance at a time. Maybe they'll add the ability in a future update.

As for an Office 365 subscription, on the desktop you need to have a subscription to make edits, while viewing documents is free. On Mobile and screens smaller than 8 inches, it's free. OneNote is, of course, an exception. I covered this earlier:
