Nick H. Supervisor Posted August 16, 2015 Supervisor Share Posted August 16, 2015 I only used a yahoo address as a throwaway account. I started with hotmail as my primary account and then moved to gmail.
Antigen
Actually i'm testing ProtonMail but i think that is too closed as system. (no imap no download of the email)

Asharae
At work, when I get called out on visits. A lot of people still use Yahoo as their main email address. Admittedly that is more of the elder generation though.
Anibal P
I avoid Yahoo and its services like the plague it is. This, doubt my throwaway account is even still active
onewarmslime
I used yahoo for a few years until my inbox got bombarded by viagra/cialis spam forever and ever. Yahoo's spam filters aren't effective in the slightest. I use gmail now with a client, but it worked fine on the web interface too. macoman 1 Share

Draconian Guppy
use it as flick logon only, the amount of spam yahoo emails get is crazy, I remember back in 2012 I opened an account just for the lulz, never used it, checked back in 4 months, it was full with spam
IceBreakerG
I've been transitioning all of my subscriptions and accounts to move from yahoo to gmail. I still have a few that I can't move over though (like my mint and intuit accounts because they can't be merged yet). Other than that, yahoo is my throw away account now too. Tuskd
Had my first ever account on yahoo and then moved on to Gmail and Outlook. The only person that I know of who uses it now is my dad. It looks ok but those spam mails and the ads are just unbearable.

+Warwagon MVC Posted May 27, 2016 MVC Share Posted May 27, 2016 While I have a yahoo account mainly for flickr. .. I don't use my yahoo email. That being said, I have a lot of customers that still do. Then again I also have a much larger amount of customers that still use their ISP email. T3X4S
I use Yahoo.com as my homepage - but dont mess with any of the old email addresses. I use some gmail accounts for garbage. My main email is a private domain.
Gotenks98
Unfortunately I have 4 of them. 1 my primary email from my ISP switched to letting yahoo handle the mailboxes. The other 3 are throw away accounts I used when I was doing my job search when I got laid off. So much job spam email now that I didn't get when I was looking for a job. papercut2008uk
the question should be, how many people are using email addresses from their ISP as their main email account. those are the worst, because as soon as you change ISP, you loose the email account which a lot of people who use it as their main account don't realize.
