Jack W
Trump is at it again. He's now accused China of 'raping' the United States (economical rape... apparently that's a thing)... Preview: Quote Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has accused China of "raping" the US, in renewed criticism of China's trade policy. He told a rally in Indiana that China was responsible for "the greatest theft in the history of the world". Mr Trump, a billionaire businessman, has long accused China of manipulating its currency to make its exports more competitive globally. This, he says, has badly damaged US businesses and workers. "We can't continue to allow China to rape our country, and that's what we're doing," he told the campaign rally on Sunday. "We're going to turn it around, and we have the cards, don't forget it," he added. "We have a lot of power with China." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-36185012

+E.Worm Jimmy Subscriber¹ Posted May 2, 2016 Subscriber¹ Share Posted May 2, 2016 While he says US has power over china, it is China that has power over US. Clearly. Otherwise this would not be happening. USA does not let anyone take advantage of it, unless they have to. so this is completely empty rhetoric... Being a hypocrite doesn't make his statement wrong. Trump has from day one admitted he exploits loopholes and practices he intends to close down in the private sector. I really don't see why people constantly point things like this out when it means absolutely nothing. NewGuy123 1 Share

The local plant here is now shut down because they cannot get the parts from Japan due to that earthquake. Trump is somewhat correct but a better phrase should have been used. Those Chinese have strapped their Yuan to our Dollar and have depreciated it their Yuan to crush the dollar. So yes, he's essentially right. Why China's Currency Tangos With The USD Also China manipulates the yuan against the dollar If Currency Manipulation Is So Great for Exports, Why Don’t We Do It? ctebah
What a hypocrite. But then again, what do people expect from Trump. And China didn't rape the US, it was US companies that did it. And even if Trump somehow closes this (not that it's possible), the companies will simply move the production elsewhere. There is a lot of cheap labor in 3rd world countries. By him saying this, Trump is simply trying to appease his most important voters: the idiots who will believe anything. Go take a look at the term "Tu Quoque". After rereading the previous posts I didn't actually see anyone say he and some family members were wrong, maybe strongly suggesting they're hypocrites. And to some voters being hypocritical is not a attractive or welcome trait they want in their representatives, though finding anyone running for office that isn't to some degree, is next to impossible IMO.
