HTC unveiled its new Android flagship, the 10, last month, promising that it would begin making its way to customers in early May. Pre-orders have been open in various markets, including the US, where the device is priced at $699 SIM-free.
The company has announced that it has now started shipping the device to those who pre-ordered it in the US:
HTC says that shipments will roll out first to those who pre-ordered earliest, so those who ordered the device most recently may have to wait a little longer before it arrives.
Over in the UK, though, there's some ambiguity over exactly when shipments will begin. Network operator Three is sticking to its promise that deliveries will begin tomorrow, May 6, but there seems to be bad news for those who pre-ordered from Amazon UK.
Until recently, Amazon's listing also said that the device would be available on May 6:
However, the online retailer has since revised its listing, which now states that the HTC 10 "will be released on May 18, 2016" - 12 days later than its original date:
Carphone Warehouse currently says that the device will be "available in 6-9 days", indicating that its anticipated release 'window' remains unchanged from that stated earlier this week.
