Dell unveils new 2-in-1 devices, including the 17-inch Inspiron 7000

With Computex well under way now, Dell took to the virtual stage to unveil a slew of new and updated devices, including a number of 2-in-1 PCs in the Inspiron 7000 lineup.

The summer hasn’t even officially started just yet but Dell is already trying to entice buyers with its Back to School offers and the brand new Inspiron devices. Perhaps the most striking one is the 17-inch Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 that can work as a classic clamshell notebook, but can also double as a huge tablet thanks to a 360-degree display hinge.

The Inspiron 7000 line-up also includes a 13- and 15-inch model, offering the same convertible experience, while being powered by a 6^th-gen Intel Core CPU and featuring a full HD screen. Dell also boasts features such as the backlit keyboard, the infrared camera that works with Windows Hello and the optional USB Type-C adapter that has HDMI and VGA display ports as well as an extra USB 3.0 port for external storage.

The Inspiron 2-in-1 devices will go on sale on June 2^nd in the US and China with a starting price of $749.

The Inspiron 7000 is deemed to be the premium category in Dell’s new lineup, but the company also has more affordable models in the Inspiron 5000 range.

The 5000 2-in-1 models come in two flavors depending on your screen-size preferences: 15 and 13 inches. Both of these offer full HD (1920x1080) resolution screens, a backlit keyboard, SSD storage and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Dell is billing these machines as perfect for work and media consumption while also being highly portable and light. The devices also feature the same infrared camera found in the 7000 series, that lets you sign into Windows without a password.

The Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 series will hit markets on June 2^nd in the US and China with a starting price of $529.

Finally, the Inspiron 3000 line-up offers some of the same features of the other devices in the most affordable package. The Inspiron 3000 is an 11-inch 2-in-1 notebook, which the company hopes will appeal to kids and students. Unfortunately, besides its smaller screen, the Inspiron 3000 also packs fewer pixels handling only 1366x768 resolution. That being said the device does have a USB 3.0 port and supports MicroSD cards for further storage expansion.

The Inspiron 3000 2-in-1 will go on sale on June 2^nd in the US and China starting at $249.
