Verizon carrying over data? It might happen this coming Friday

It's been a couple of years since T-Mobile announced its 'Data Stash' promotion at Un-carrier 8. While it took some time, other carriers like AT&T have followed suit, offering their own version of storing data and carrying it over month-to-month. Now, it looks like Verizon might hop on the bandwagon, and offer its own iteration, starting as early as the end of the week.

According to the eagle-eyed folks at Droid Life, a post on Reddit suggests that Verizon might announce a new plan that will allow subscribers to carryover data. The new plan will also allow those on the XL or larger plan tiers, to utilize their minutes, text and data in Mexico and Canada. Lastly, those that have trouble staying within their data allotment will be able to engage a 'Safety Mode', which will reduce speeds until more data is purchased or until you reach the next billing cycle.

Naturally, none of this information has been confirmed, with the screenshot above allegedly coming from Verizon's Testman site.
