Microsoft today released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 PCs and phones on the Insider Program. Build 14393.103 is available in both the Slow and Release Preview rings.
Today's update replaces 14393.82, which only ever made it to the Production ring on PCs. Like when it was released to Insiders, Microsoft hasn't acknowledged today's update at all, and there is no changelog being offered. This should not come as a surprise to anyone, as the company often releases cumulative updates to Insiders with no changelogs, or at least with a long delay between the release and the notes.
Like all updates, it will contain a number of fixes, which will be welcome for those using the Anniversary Update. Build 14393.82 broke PowerShell DSC, and users are finding that plugging a Kindle into a PC running the AU can crash it. Last week, it was found that the Anniversary Update broke millions of webcams.
While we don't know what's in 14393.103, Microsoft did promise that it would fix the PowerShell issue with an update on August 30. At this point though, any fixes are welcome.
