HTC teases the launch of new Desire smartphone

Not too long ago, reliable leakster Evan Blass posted an image of a smartphone allegedly called the HTC Desire 10 and revealed that it would be launched towards the end of the third quarter. It seems that the leak was on point, as HTC has posted a teaser featuring glimpses of the leaked smartphone on Twitter.

The teaser video mentions 20 September as the date, which confirms Blass' claim of a third quarter launch. Later it was also revealed that HTC might be planning to launch two Desire smartphones, one being the Desire 10 Pro and the other would be the Desire 10 Lifestyle but it isn't clear which devices would be launched on the mentioned date.

There isn't much known about the hardware specifications of the Desire 10 Pro, but Blass' report mentions some of the alleged specifications of the Desire 10 Lifestyle, which are as follows:

  • 5.5-inch screen with HD (720p) resolution
  • Snapdragon 400-series chipset
  • 2 GB RAM / 16 GB internal storage, 3 GB RAM / 32 GB internal storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera
  • 24-bit audio through Boomsound speakers

We will certainly know more on the 20th of September about the device(s) and will keep you updated.
