Convert .tar file to .zip file.

I think:

.tar -> archive format

.zip -> compressed format

that's why people often use : <filename>.tar.gz/bz/zip => compressed the archiver. So :) why don't we just zip the .tar rather than untar -> zipped :)

I am not sure about that. Correct me if I'm wrong. :shifty:

Indeed, Tar is a DAT tape format where all files are glued together and not compressed. After that, the tar file is usually compress'd, gzip' or bzip'd.

Zipping the tar file saves space but that makes two extraction: the zip then the tar to get the actual files.
