On Screen Video Capture Software

Question

Hello,

My company wants me to do a help file for new users of our computer system (M3 by Infor).

However I think in this day and age it would be best suited to a series of video captures that show what is actually going on rather than screen by screen shots. It also needs to be able to add annotations etc... or even capture voice explanations.

Could anyone recommend a suitable software package to do this. It doesn't have to be freeware as I'm not paying :D

I don't think you need a second option as the first is pretty good but I have used;

The reason I went for this over the first escapes me but I'm sure I struggled with something.

If you do want something a little more powerful, I really like Camtasia.

We use this at our company for the actual training videos and its pretty simple to get used to.

I use snagit.  It can do video capture and screen capture, although if you want annotation you may want to consider camtasia or a combination of the both of them.  they offer a free trial to check them out.
