Check the application log

Have you recently changed anything? DB/LF locations?

Unexpected shutdown?

Can you see the DB and LFs physically

Need more info, but that tends to mean either the logfiles or database cannot be found to mount, the DB is corrupt, the DB is in a dirty shutdown and has changes it wants to write back and cannot find the log file it wants.

If it's corrupt you can either go through the the eseutil / checkdb routines or just restore from your most recent backup.

That error means that the database manager is having difficulty connecting to the database data.

Check to see if any updates have ran from Intel or any other storage / RAID controller firmware or software updates have been applied from Microsoft or any other source.  If any of those have been updated, undo the updates and reboot.

Another possible problem if restoring this to a new hard drive or server is sector size on the new hard drives (i.e. try it on a smaller hard drive).

This is a common issue which may occur when you remove log files that has not been committed to the associated database, which may lead to many serious problems.

You can solve this problem by removing all previous log files and moving transaction log files to a different folder, but before that you need to check database consistency state. For that follow these steps below:

1. Stop Information Store Service of Exchange and halt all databases in the storage group.

2. After that you need to verify the integrity of the database for that run Eseutil /mh command and examine the

You may have to repair the database. It runs at about 9gb/hr. If you have the transaction logs you may be able to repay them back into the db. If not, the only thing you can do is repair the db.
