Just found out about a Lost In Space reboot from Netflix. I'm torn, I love the original and would love to see more LIS, but the movie from the late 90s showed just how wrong this could go. It was a fun sci-fi movie, but not a good interpretation of LIS. The Robinsons were just too disfunctional - a bit of conflict is natural in any family, but for a family selected to start a space colony, you'd want a group that work well together like the original cast. Add to that Joey Tribbiani miscast as Major West. About the only element the remake improved was Gary Oldman as Dr. Smith - a far more believable version than the original.

As long as the makers of the new version learn from the mistakes of the movie, it should be decent, I hope.

So, I'm convinced the three Jokers are Jack Napier, (the Joker from the Tim Burton movies and the '90s Animated Series,) the poor guy from The Killing Joke, and The Comedian from Watchmen.  Which means, if you really want to see the first Joker's backstory, you should watch Mask of The Phantasm and THEN watch the 1989 live action Batman movie, while the second one I've mentioned's backstory can be...  well, read/watched in The Killing Joke.

A week `til the submission deadline for our first issue, and the submission reading party to figure out what submissions to include. Already sent out a few letters of acceptance, and I'm working on the magazine layout.

The positive replies for the party are a bit sparse at the moment. Hoping that'll change. It would be a shame to print out all the submissions and make spaghetti for a bunch only to have nobody show up. Spent half the family party on Saturday personally inviting people to the submission party. Including SBSG - I hope she gets that I was asking for help with the magazine, not for a date! Though that's the least of my worries concerning this project ...

Well, I've kind of quit Neowin. Between school, and job hunting, being on this forums gives me depressing thoughts. I spent a lot of time on Neowin while at my previous job. Chatting with you all, learning new things, just a bit painful. I'll come back when I'm working again. Till then, Cheers, Gents.
