There comes a point in every young person?s life when you have to have ?the talk? with your parents? not that talk, the ?should we join Facebook?? talk.

?We just want to know what you?re up to,? they say. ?We won?t interfere,? they claim. ?Your Auntie Pam is already on, you know??. Oh you know, she?s been trying to add you for weeks.

...I've got my mum on Facebook. Can't say that in all the years any of the above has happened, although maybe my mum isn't the embarrassing type. I make a big enough fool of myself without anyone else's help.

Mine comments on pretty much everything I post, I guess she feels bad for not being present for a large period of my life. But its the wrong way to go about it. You can tell she doesn't know how Facebook really works, she tries to start a conversation with me in every status or photo I post, and the conversation will be completely unrelated to the post/picture.
