The 2 Question 10 year Memory Challenge

So i'm going to give you 2 questions in what I like to call "The 10 year Memory Challenge"

 

Question 1
 

Name a movie you saw in the theater over 10 years ago as well as a movie poster of a different movie that was at the theater when you went to go see the movie.

 

Question 2

 

Think of an Event over 10 years ago and something else that happened around that same time. that you can fact Check the date. Use mine as an example.

 

I'll start

 

1) in 1996 When I went to see the Island of Dr. Moreau , I remember seeing movie poster for the movie Solo.

2) When I went to go see Alison Krauss in Sioux City I remembered that it was around the same time Ruben Studdard  sang "Kiss and Say GoodBye" on American Idol.

 

So I looked it up. Ruben sang the Song on American Idol April 8th 2003 and Alison Krauss was in Sioux City on April 10th 2003

1) When in 95 i saw Jumanji the movie poster Toy Story was all over the theather; back then an animated movie like Toy Story was something very, very new :)

2) i remember when i saw The Empire Strikes Back (in 1991, VHS) i was playing with Lego, with my self build Star Wars spaceships (not these new premade ones, back then i build by hand them) and when SPOLER Darth Vader tells Luke he's his father, that was a such a shook moment i stopped playing and just stared into the screen, even when the movie ended lol.

 

Also i do remember when i register into Neowin.

1990, Reno, NV. went and saw this movie with my dad, his then girlfriend, her 9 year old son Barton (who still breast fed). 

 

I remember when the movie ended, I ended up alone, I was 12 at the time, never have been to Reno before, walked the 5 miles back to the Circus Circus we were staying at, I had gotten stopped by random people along the way thinking I was old enough to buy a hooker or whatever street drugs were for sale at the time

I'm just going to start by saying, I can't remember 10 years ago.

My mum and dad took us to watch Star Wars in 1997. Their - well, dad's - excitement is what I remember, and me getting excited from his excitement. I don't remember seeing any posters, but I'm sure if I googled for films that were out at the same time my brain would consider slotting them in to the memory.

An event over 10 years ago? The obvious one would be 9/11. It was odd because it was a year after moving out to Switzerland. As such my friends were more multicultural, and so it affected quite a few of my new friends. It made it a big year both worldwide and in my own little one.

1990: I went to see Back to the Future II in the cinema and remember seeing the trailer for BTTF III after the film.

 

An event from over 10 years ago: In 1993 a co-student of mine claimed 'the WWW will never catch on.' Was he ever wrong.

Question 2 is pretty much easy as it can be any event.  Matrix reloaded premiere 2004, GF got ###### cause I went without her... (When she had already made plans to go without me...)

 

Edit: doh! Missed that by a year... hmmm let me try that again.

 

Some movie that premiered 2003 as I started college...

 

But if I go way back.. Jurrasic park 1994? when I met some cool friends at 4th-5th grade...

That's just wrong, our son was put onto solids from 6M. 9 years and still needing bitty is just wrong!

Without searching with google i would say Star Wars Episode 2. As for the poster i dunno really Final Fantasy The Spirit Within. As for the event 2004 is the year i completed my degree in computer engineering XD

Ah **** Episode 2 was 2002 and The Spirit within 2001 :( already 12 years god time flies ... I was close tough.
