A Whole Bunch Of People On Facebook Thought Steven Spielberg Killed A Real Dinosaur

This photo of Steven Spielberg on the set of Jurassic Park went hugely viral this week.

Internet humourist Jay Branscomb posted it on Facebook with the caption: ?Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.?

I'm not sure if I should be sad about this because these are potential voters :s  or if this is just the funniest Facebook prank ever

People confuse triceratops with rhinoceros all the time, and the poaching of rhinos for their horns is a very serious issue.

It's really not that surprising, especially when photoshop/cgi is involved.

Sorry, but no.

There might be some similarities, but people should still be able to tell a difference between an animal that hasn't lived for 68 million years and an animal we have living today.

It's obviously a mixture of people trolling (the majority), and a few people who are mistaking it for a rhino... which is understanding for people who have probably never seen a rhino before in their lives, at best only a couple pictures... and have obviously never seen a real triceratops before either (for obvious reasons).

The original poster on Facebook specifically stated, "Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man."

There's no mistaking it for a rhino.

If people are mistaking it for a rhino, they either need their eyes examined or need to look up what a rhino looks like.
