AT&T pushing out the Lumia 1520 Windows Phone 8.1 update!

Starting at 1PM ET today, AT&T has announced that the Lumia 1520 is cleared to receive the Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan update.

 

Owners of the Lumia 1520 can head into their Settings > Phone Update > Check for update to begin to receive the latest OS from Microsoft and new firmware to enable advanced features from Nokia.

I am running my 1520 in DP mode... according to WP Central, I will need to rollback to 8.0 to get the new Cyan Update.... hate Microsoft for let us to be screwed. Microsoft said few months ago that we will be the first to get Cyan... yeah right.

MS will release a fix for the DP - the problem was that users with Bitlocker enabled who installed Cyan had major crashes and other problems.  I'm going to wait for the fix, as I really don't want to do a hard reset.

You don't have to go back to 8.0, you can just wait for the fix, those who want to get it now and don't want to wait might as well go through the long process.

 

No one said those on the Developer Preview wouldn't get it and "have" to rollback, only that those on 8.0 now are getting it without issue.

I sent to Joe Belfiore a tweet, asking him if we will expect soon a fix. Hope he can respond or at least send a public tweet about it.
