mhansomme
Hello, I'm here praying that someone more tech savvy than I am can help me. When I turn on my PC I get a message indicating that a file is missing. To be exact, the dnssd.dll is missing. This has prevented some of the programs from executing successfully. I'm positive that I've not consciously deleted anything ( I think so). I don't know what this means and would like some help. What sort of error is this? What would I need to do to have it fixed? Thanks in advance guys. Appreciate it.

PSG1
Try this link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system/dnssddll-was-not-found-apagentexe/03d8bcdd-ad46-4301-ae0b-7886e9dfc0a1 It looks like it has to do with Apple's inability to write software. Try to uninstall Bonjour; it install itself when you install the bloatware that is iTunes.
mhansomme
Hello, Thanks for responding to my post. I did read through the information you sent here [ http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system/dnssddll-was-not-found-apagentexe/03d8bcdd-ad46-4301-ae0b-7886e9dfc0a1 ] It mentioned that re-installing the application would solve the problem. However, when I re-installed it the problem was not solved. I also did some research which brought me to these pages. http://errortools.com/?s=entry+point+not+found+dll ...and http://www.smartpcfixer.com/blog/category/dll-fix/ I've not tried the suggestions as yet, I only read through. However, I'll report back and let you know what method of solving the issue worked. Thanks for responding once more. WIll report back ASAP. xrobwx71
What OS are you on? Something is calling this dll when your system starts. Win 8 = Windows key+X then Task Manager Then Startup The choose Bonjour and Disable. Try it, it won't hurt anything.
Tews
dnssd.dll is not a native 8.1 program. Read more about it here.. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/dnssd-dll-not-found-missing-error.htm
