Anything better than the iPhone 5s

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I bought a Samsung Galaxy 3, which died and I have been using the iPhone 5s - I bought for a development project, which has ended.

A phone upgrade is available and I know this is a subjective statement but outside the extra screen real estate of the Note, I cannot think of any reason to change.

Are you asking if there is anything better than the iPhone 5S? and are tempted to continue using it? your title is a bit confusing along with what you have posted.

If you want to Android, check out the HTC One m8. Great phone but the camera is not as good as a iPhone.

Or check out the LG G3 as those 2 are great Android phones.

In addition to the iPhone 6, the Galaxy Note 4 and Moto X+1 are coming very soon. Also, the G3 and HTC One M8 are great phones, as well. I'd recommend the Nexus 5, too, but that's getting towards the end of it's lifespan.

That's not a lot of information. What did you like about the S3, and what did you like about the iPhone5s? From looking at the title of the thread, it would seem that you're swaying towards the iPhone5s.

Why can't you think of a reason to change? What are your requirements for a new phone? I can advertise the Galaxy S3 or the Sony Xperia Z2 if you like for different reasons, but we can all do that about all of the phones. :)

As others have said, we'd need some more details before we can really give you a decent response.

Personally, if I may, I suggest looking at trying one of the low or mid-range Lumia devices if you are interested in trying Windows Phone.

Very happy Xperia Z1 owner here, I would suggest checking out the Z2 or upcoming Z3 if/when it launches. It's yet to *** me off yet, which for a smart phone is quite an achievement.

That's subjective.

I'd argue that the camera is better in some ways. As for the phone? Android is a hands down winner.

Sounds like your content with the iPhone 5s. "Is there anything better?", for brevity let's just say no.

As you yourself even admitted to, the end result will be subjective. It seems to me you've already decided. If, on the other hand you can't decide between either Android or iOS, I in turn recommend you get a Windows Phone and remove all doubt.

I love subjective threads involving heated topics; always ends well.

If we use this size font does it make it look like everyone else is shouting and arguing... or does it look like we're just whispering?

To me it's a whisper, sometimes gone unnoticed but no less important.

Hi Everyone,

So, I will provide more information to what my ultimate goal is.

As mentioned I purchased the iPhone 5s originally for development purposes, which the task is completed and I have re-claimed the phone.

Does the iPhone 5s work? - Yes

I was sitting at a restaurant and my meeting was running late, so I was trying to log into our project management software to remain productive and it was challenging with the limited screen real-estate.

I could not help to think about, how many times in the year - could I have been more "mobile" and my phone was not filling this void.

Began looking online and I quickly realized that I could also be saving money on my phone plan.

I am looking into the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

why don't you do what most people do? have the iPhone for calls and for more screen real estate use an iPad; if you want to hear some music as well use an iPod and if you feel it's too late in the night, well then check the time with the iWatch! And when you got back into home power on your Apple TV to see some cat videos or loggon into Neowin on your iMac.

I suppose that could work - I will head to the bank now and withdrawal my life.
