KeeperOfThePizza
I haven't really messed with Windows 8.1, However I can't stand that I have to login with my Windows Live account or create one. Is there anyway to remove my Windows Live account and OneDrive? I do not use either.. I have a google account and drive already.

No, you do not need to login with a Microsoft Account (Windows Live no longer exists) When you create an account you can click "Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended)" However, you will not get all the capabilities, apps cannot be downloaded from the Store, and the sync features won't work. jimkraz
Yes you can sign in with your own e-mail but will not be able to download from store, you can of course remove the need to sign in each time you start or restart and have your PC boot direct to desktop without have to input password each time, but if you use your PC out and and about its not recommended. In account settings un-tick the requirement to have pass on wake, to remove the need to input pass at boot, on metro screen type "netplwiz" without the colons, click netplwiz, remove tick in require pass, apply/pass then ok. rsrcomp
During the Install it will ask for your Microsoft account. Click on create an account. On that screen at the lower left it says something like "Login with no account" or "Local Account" Choose that one, it create an 8.1 install with a Local Account. If you have already installed with a Microsoft account use the method below: c:\windows\system32 Find "Netplwiz" right click and "Run as Administrator" Uncheck "User must enter a user name" etc. Enter your password twice. Next time you boot it will not ask for a password. Hope that's what you want
Dashel
You can access/auth apps individually even with a local account. Why stick with Google? If you have a MS Account, why are you so reticent to use it?

If you have a MS Account, why are you so reticent to use it? Well all of my contacts, calendar etc are synced with google. I've used it for like 7 years. I have a android phone so it's just simple. You can create a Microsoft account using your Google email as well and continue using Google's services (as well as all the Microsoft services except email that you will get with your new account).
