Office 365 on iPad/iPhone - No Documents

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

(PS, I've put this in the MS forum since it's an MS service).

I've recently purchased Office 365, and moved all of my documents over from Dropbox to Onedrive.

Onedrive works great so far, it syncs between my computers (rather faster than dropbox too I might add), however there's a problem - if I try to use Office Mobile on either my iPhone or iPad, when I go to open a document from onedrive, I cannot access anything beyond the root directory.

When I go into my onedrive on one of the apps, I see my "documents" folder, but when I try to go into my documents folder, I just get a "Cannot connect to server" message - but it's obviously connected to the server since it loads the "documents" folder. It happens on both my iPhone and iPad. All computers synced with onedrive, the onedrive iPhone app, and office online can all open the files/browse my drive properly.

I've not actually been able to get through to Microsoft's support (I've had the call on hold for almost 2 hours now and they still haven't answered). Does anyone have any suggestions with this?

Have you tried installing the OneDrive for business app, to see if you can see your documents in there?

I've just tried with mine and I can access documents using any of the office apps from my personal OneDrive and from OneDrive for business.

I can access them in the one drive apps noproblem. It's *just* mobile office from which I can't access them.

Finally got through to MS and they said someone from the one drive/sharepoint team will call me back, but it didn't happen, so I guess I'll have to chase them in the morning.

Do you happen to have office 2010/2013 for Windows? You could try adding the account into office 2010/2013 and see what happens there.
