Windows Server 2012 R2 / Constant 100 KB/s write

Recommended Posts

I just got a new Dell Server in and the hard drive lights are constantly blinking and never stop from the second Windows boots up.. There is nothing installed on this server yet.. The other servers (Running 2003 R2) don't do this.. I'm just wondering if this is normal? It's running in Raid 5..

The Servermanager seems to be managing. Does it do this for hours or just minutes after boot? We are running Win Server 2008 R2 with 3 thin clients on RDP and it does this at startup for about 5-6 minutes.

Go to Start>Administrative Tools>Server Manager> Hit the +configuration>Task Manger... See if anything is running in there.
