So I got a gift card to use for Xbox. I was going to buy battlefield 4 premium. My wife stopped me and said she got me BF4 without premium.

Sooo now my question is, is premium alone worth it? And if so how do I add it in game?

You can get battlefield 4 without premium for free with 'ea access' have you never checked 'ea access' out as it is well worth it for very little cost?

EA Access isn't free nor will he own the game.

@Dane, The Xbox One DLC has expired like we discussed yesterday but Origin has the PC Premium DLC for half price. Sadly it's not compatible with consoles if you buy it for PC, so this is only relevant if you want a PC copy.

EA/DICE recently posted on PS EU Blog that the game will see a 6th DLC pack, so it's likely support will continue for a good few months yet. Population is bound to be high until a proper BF replaces it (not Hardline as it's a spinoff).

Thanks!  I wish I would have known she was getting it for me, I would have hinted at the premium edition haha.

It is still worth it as when other BF games come out he won't play it, it is a no brained in my opinion.

If I understand the OP correctly, he already has BF 4 now so buying access is pretty pointless at this point.

To the OP, have you played it online yet? I bought the game solo and then bought premium afterwards but the issues early on ruined the experience for me. IMO I didn't really enjoy any of the DLC maps anywhere near as much as the originals. Although I've yet to at the last map pack completely.

For me, it was a complete waste of money, I preferred the original maps and the issues put me off playing towards the third or forth map pack so I didn't get my monies worth.

IMO, no.

Only a handful of good maps from all of the DLC.

Skins, camos etc. are all pointless and don't offer anything imo.

I play with 10+ people and we all have premium and still spend most 90% of our time on vanilla maps.
