Clirion
I just check on the Wifi alliance website. I do not see any Panasonic TV Certified for Miracast. In that case you will need the Product that Shozilla linked to.
HawkMan
Miranda MiraCast? TAZMINATOR
MiraCast? if the tv supports MiraCast it shouldn't need the MiraCast adapter But the adapter might help stream videos smoothly... you NEVER know... Which he said it failed on TV... so I suggested him that adapter so he could try. If not working, then he can take it back for refund. Never hurt to try.. HawkMan
the specs for the tv does not list widi or miracast, only cryptically "display mirroring" under network. so I think you need the adapter.
Clirion
Check Here: This is the Wi-Fi Alliance certified page. The Technology used is Miracast. If the product is listed on this site, it will work with the Surface Pro's. http://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder-results?sort_by=default&sort_order=desc&categories=9&certifications=47&companies=1341 I checked for your TV specifically and Panasonic in general. There are no Panasonic TV's that are Miracast Certified. There are Panasonic DVD players that are certified. If you want to stream to the TV and it is not certified, then you will need to use the adapter to get a solid stream.

DConnell Member Posted March 2, 2015 Member Share Posted March 2, 2015 You might also consider using a Displayport to HDMI cable and a wireless keyboard. Just place the Surface near the TV, connected with the cable and use the keyboard to control. I got a decent one with a trackpad at Walmart for $25. It might work out cheaper than buying a Miracast adapter. I've done Miracast with my cousin's TV, and found the slight delay between the Surface and the wireless display a little jarring. Not unusable, but mildly annoying.
