It is technically possible to replace the Samsung Galaxy S6

It's still not user-replaceable.

So it's still exactly the same as any other phone out there with a non-removable battery, it can be done.

Looks very easy if you ask me, try and replace a battery on a M8 and tell me it can be done as easily as this.

I'm still curious as to what promoted every company to do non replaceable batteries, is it just planned obsolescence at its greatest. I get that yes a battery door is an added material that may break or that the user may buy a cheap 3rd party party

With great advancements in design come great sacrifices that must be made.

If sacrifices need to be made then it's not a great design.

I agree, my wife had to get a new phone and went with the S5 instead of waiting for the S6 for a few of those sacrifices.

They're just following Apple's lead. It's just another way to keep a steady stream of income for them. Greedy and wasteful is what I call it. For what a mbile phone costs, removable batteries, upgradeable storage and water/dust proofing should be standard.

With great advancements in design come great sacrifices that must be made. For the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, those sacrifices had to be made in areas of expandable storage and user-replaceable batteries.

The latter shortcoming is causing a few of you to steer far clear of Samsung
