5gb storage peasentry

I've run out of iCloud storage on my iPhone.

I'm sure many of you have encountered the same thing. Are you paying for the 20gb? If not, how are you keeping photos safe?

I don't have an iPhone so I can only assume with something like this but perhaps look to an alternative cloud storage provider? OneDrive, Google Drive and Mega all provide larger free storage I believe.

Certainly on Android you can use those to auto upload your phone photographs. Sorry I can't be much more help in terms of true experience but it's something to look into.

Back up to local computer, use third party cloud provider or just pay the .99 cents for 20gbs. I hope during WWDC apple announces an upgrade to the 5gb limit for all iCloud accounts right now.

Local Hard Drive. Much more secure.

Until you're hit with theft or a natural disaster. I always store at least one copy off-site (cloud, safety deposit box, etc).

The only thing I use iCloud for is the device backups.  I don't backup photos with it.  For that I use onedrive.  And since I have an O365 subscription, I get 1TB of storage...more than enough for my pics.

get a Mega.co.nz account and backup to there if you need more space. It's 50GB on a free account

I only ever used iCloud for device and app backups, everything else was either local or stored on OneDrive/Mega

but yea, 5GB really isn't much for backups

You can download Google+ on your iPhone and let it backup all your photos for you.. But, for $12/year to get 20GB, is the easiest thing to do..
