Microsoft's LTE-enabled variant of the Surface 3 is set to go on sale this week. Business customers in Germany and the United Kingdom will be able to get their hands on the tablet from July 3, followed by France and Spain. Microsoft has stated that carriers will be handling sales of the Surface 3 LTE to enterprise users, including Deutsche Telekom in Germany, Orange Business Services in France, O2 in the United Kingdom and Movistar in Spain.

Broader availability of the Surface 3 LTE will commence in the coming weeks, with the tablet heading to retail and reseller stores in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with Microsoft's online store. Microsoft mentioned that the success of the Surface series in the business segment was the main factor in releasing the tablet to business customers ahead of its retail availability.

The hardware giant also revealed that business users will get 64 and 128GB storage variants with 4GB RAM and Windows 8.1 Professional, with the ability to make the switch to Windows 10 once it becomes available later this month.
