Just wondering, is there a topic like this one but for software that isn't freeware? Just curious. I do like this freeware list - it's how I found Gigaget. I decided to give it a go, as a change to GetRight Pro.

So much software out there though. It's overwhelming, and hard, to know what is the right one to use.

Just tried out Free Download Manager - I like it. I especially liked how it's drop box (the lil box thing in the corner of ya screen) can be turned off (FlashGet and Gigaget didn't have this). Didn't notice it's speed potential though (first file i downloaded with it wasn't that big).

Should the list include only spyware-free and very freeware software. Some of the programs encountered in the list has spyware in it. Good idea to take them down or put a note next to the software to say that it has spyware.
