General Information

This release is based on the all-new AutoPatcher 5.1. Although it was made with Windows XP SP2
English
in mind, it will load on any (English) Windows version, showing only the items which match the running environment. There are also special releases for
Dutch
(thanks Evincar),
Italian
(thanks dkdk_it),
Polish
(thanks Marcin.Riki),
Portuguese
(thanks Gandolas), and
Portuguese (Brazil)
(thanks supermouse) versions of Windows.

A: No not really, we may occasionally use free hosting services but AutoPatcher requires a lot of bandwidth and we dont want to wear them out. I (theblazingangel) remember when i first visited this forum, the team were looking for mirrors and i offered to do this. I think i was ignored for being such a noob :)

I don't understand why there are full unnofficial releases for PT-BR for 2 months and neither theblazingangel nor gandolas have anything to say about that... especially if all we have for PT-BR is a MONTHS-OLD release... Please, any of you that have the power to do that, condemn right away those unnofficial releases and do something to replace them --or-- free the road because there is an entire country waiting. Supermouse says that won't fight for his release to be official but I feel that we should...

Who agrees and wants the return of official PT-BR releases must speak-up...

There weren't official releases of the PTB versions because i have lots of thing to do. I don't live from/for AutoPatcher. I only maintain the more important releases, i was never intended to release a PTB version. But i did it.

The person that was doing unofficial release was doing you a great favor, because the official version that you're going to use this month was made by him (i just made it official).

And i'm not in the way of anyone. I told before that if someone wanted to maintain PTB version, it would have my support.

parrini, also i said in private to gandolas, in order to do my work faster, i need a fast IC or an way to update an windows without need it. also my ISP (BRT) seem's have some sort of issue with his international link since at least 1 year ago and i don't know where i will work tomorow or in 5 minutes, i think that AutoPatcher is the best choice for me. if not downloading it done by someone, at least doing it by myself. well, i'm not selfish. if i do it for my job, for sure that i can share it with anyone too. because of that, i've uploaded by some months my unofficial version (that was always checked by at least mcafee, kaspersky, panda and another one just to be sure that there's any problem with it - remmember, i win my money fixing windows, so, why in hell should i damage it?). so, you can blame me by share my free work, but just that. also you read, i wish no fight. that means that if someone is doing his version, i will not stop him. also you can see, gondolas is x86 portuguese mantainer and him was doing pt-br too. he may be bussy for now or for some time, but is still him the mantainer. and i wish no fight. by now, he made my version official. i'm gratefull for that and i will take care it for the time being.

by the way: the unofficial version will no longer have any updates. all updates now will be for the official one.

Please let me add something here... I am sorry if I gave the impression of criticizing. I have benefited from the work of gandolas for months and I could't be more thankful. Everytime I use Autopatcher PTB I am in debt to gandolas and theblazingangel, and now supermouse. Please forgive a dumb-hotheaded-lame-noob for his badly thought words. I do not wish to criticize, but to help. Sorry ppl, I promise to be more constructive...

i think the only reason they use it is they just scan the thread for links and will pick anything, there was a thread about a "mirror" supplying rapidshare links and blaze came to the decision that free hosts shouldn't be used as long as their is other means of hosting it (ie people donating space/bandwidth to hosting it)
