I was going through the PDF utilities list, but its not clear which is actually the best overall, does it support creating 128 bit encrypted PDFs? for example Azureus is the most feature rich BT client and the most flexible but people also use utorrent as its lightweight on system resources and equally powerul in most ways.

I use foxit to read PDF's. It doesn't have writing capabilities, but it's really really really quick (less than 1 second load in most cases for me, even 1000+ page PDF's).

Best PDF reader now would be PDF-XChange PDF Viewer http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/pdfx_viewer/

I just grabbed the XChange.. tell you what, it does look pretty slick! The typewriter without having to have the propack wink.gif or evaluation marks is nice!!

Just started looking at - but tell you want, from a quick look, it might be better than foxit.. Seem their website needs a bit of work, was not seeing any of the images on the viewer section?? And the download I had to right click to work, etc.

As to a creator - I would vote for PDFcreator

PDF Creator won't work on Vista (perhaps just me, but please confirm anyway), so I just use Foxit and the PDF addon for Office 2007.

PDF-XChange PDF Viewer looks really sweet and has tabs, a nice touch. Acrobat Read 8 is actually decent, much better than previous version. And for a creator, I say the best is PDFCreator.
