Nice, but while its checking it would be even nicer if you could scroll through the programs you've added.
I also get a load of other things like telling me my office isn't up to date and then it quoting an office 2007 version number - perhaps this should be changed? |

awesome tool. But i added ACDSee 3.11, to test the tool and for some reason it said it was up-to-date, while its the first version of the tool. weird. but otherwise, really good tool, simple, light, easy to use.

Just gave this a try and it looks good thanks. Just one question, is there any reason why I can't add Musicbrainz picard?

Maybe should you ask their tech support to fix this is an upcoming version ;-) Thanks for that, will stick that in the forum. Getting a few other false positives (MP3tag and Terratec Home Cinema) but on the whole it's a good program. I'll keep my eye on this app and see how it develops |

Thank you so much.
False positive and incorrectly reported programs... are due to incorrect "version" meta-info set by their developpers. I'm doing my best to get SUMo as "flexible" as possible, but the "best" solution is to contact such developpers and to kindly ask them to make their product SUMo-ready, for the benefit of their users community. |

UpdateChecker is made by FileHippo.com as a "self-promotion" software so you are "forced" to use their web site to grab your updates.
SUMo leaves you free to get your software from YOUR favorite download website. Including FileHippo if you want to. Some users also reported to get best results using SUMo (more product detected, less "false positive") rather than using UpdateChecker. But the best way to make your mind on this is to try both and to choose. But please keep in mind that THIS topic is dedicated to SUMo (suggestions, feedback, support) and not to "update detection software". If you want to create a "comparision" topic, please do so. (and i'll participate, of course !) Thanks ! |
