tsupersonic
Pupik, you don't think the software checks what processor your using... just wow, people on the internet O_o
nmesisca
Because the processor the applications and services are running on, got nothing to do with closing them and then re-opening them with this application (that is made by AMD)? sure... like the Intel Application Accelerator :) or the Gigabyte Easytune.. .. no wait.. Pupik
^ At least those applications state on what hardware they can be used. There's nothing in the first post or AMD's site about it's capability to run only on AMD processors. Pupik, you don't think the software checks what processor your using... just wow, people on the internet O_o I didn't say that. I just said I expected to use that application on Intel processor, because all it (the application) does is closing safe to close programs and Windows's services that are running in the background, to free some resources for the game. tsupersonic
Yeah, because AMD would release software for their competitor lol. Why don't you just close the services yourself?
bjoswald
If that's the case, Sonic, why does anyone need this tool? Quit being such an *******.
carmatic
are you guys laughing WITH him, or laughing AT him? oops sorry i got the wrong thread with that post but yeah, i dont see why technically this program shouldnt work on any x86 windows-running computer... but to think that AMD needs a tool like this, kind of puts the performance between the core 2 cpus and the phenoms into perspective
tsupersonic
If that's the case, Sonic, why does anyone need this tool? Quit being such an *******. Because it makes it easier for lazy people... Boo his, AMD software won't work on my Intel processor? Well no ****, it's like someone installing an ATI driver for an Nvidia graphics card. It makes no sense. Go cry me a river AMD isn't going to make software that will maximize performance for their competitor.
Enigma776
Does this only work on the new AMD cpu or any AMD cpu as it acts like a instant crash app on my machine. It's a giant button of death as soon as i press it.

Intel Application Accelerator Gigabyte Easytune AMD Fusion You failed horribly.
Aahz
The confusion might come with the fact that AMD is now synonymous with ATI. I would hope that my Intel CPU wouldn't blacklist me from using an AMD application with my (now) AMD GPU.

Yusuf M. Veteran Posted September 20, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 20, 2008 Will this work with an Intel CPU and AMD GPU? I really can't test it because I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate x64.
Pupik
Wait...As that guy said... Intel Application Accelerator Gigabyte Easytune AMD Fusion You failed horribly. I sure did  Intel Application Accelerator - Does state that will only run on Intel, unlike AMD Fusion. Gigabyte EayTune 6: "(Note) Support Intel P45/P43/G45/G43 series MB." - Doesn't run only on Gigabyte's motherboards. AMD Fusion - Like I said before; doesn't state anywhere that it will only run (without modification) on AMD's processors. Will this work with an Intel CPU and AMD GPU? I really can't test it because I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate x64. It will after you replace the exe with this one: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...amp;p=589823370 Tried with C2D and 4780.
nonick
It doesn't matter Pupik. The sole purpose of this program is to help AMD/ATI sell their products, they are hardware company, not software company... they don't release software just because they like it.. They have a purpose, and that is to promote their hardware and help them make money. It really doesn't matter in the end. AMD wants to sell their processors and their graphic cards, and if a software of this kind (even though all it does is close all programs and overclocking both cpu/gpu before launching a game and going back to original state after exiting it) so be it. Skulltrail-old
Finally! I was starting to withdraw my stocks on AMD because of their release of AMD Overdrive; I wasn't going to waste hundreds of dollars on a 7-Series CPU and GPU to take advantage of this fooking software and actually complained about it in the forums. Now they finally released a similar application for all AMD-users alike! I'm excited, *shakes router* HURRY UP AND DOWNLOAD!!!

I got no problem with that. Other companies do the same, but they at least state on what hardware it will run. I was just bothered with the fact that AMD didn't mentioned anywhere that this will work only on AMD's processors and I had to install it, before finding that fact out. They could of save me some time by adding something on the matter on their "CAN YOU RUN IT?" page and not just bombard me with their EULA.
