Resident Evil 5 Demo Confirmed

The latest issue of Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed that Capcom plans to release a demo of Resident Evil 5 on December 5, 2008--at least in Japan. The demo, which the magazine claims will only be available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, will offer online two-player co-op gameplay and feature two stages. Famitsu doesn't mention a PS3 demo, so we assume this will be an Xbox 360 exclusive demo. We expect the American branch of Capcom to make an announcement soon. Stay tuned.

Woot, more  from Capcom!

Sounds like wishful thinking though tbh, as Capcom have said they were going to stop the whole exclusive content between the 3 consoles.

Who knows though!

Demo may still be exclusive, since doesn't Microsoft demand a demo? Or is that just for XBLA games?

Either way, I've never needed a demo for a Resident Evil game before to know it was gonna be good.

This game was not really on my list (never played any of them (read the story though)) but the more I read and watch the more I want this.

No that's only for XBLA. Every XBLA game must have a trial.

I didn't know they HAVE to, interesting.

Yup, the way it should be imo

I would say the same for games, but then it would slow down development. So perhaps some games could release a demo after launch.

Anyways..

It's been known for well over a year and a half (maybe even more) that the game was coming to X360. R.E has never been a PS3 exclusive franchise either.

Really? hrmm I would have bet money on it being exclusive. ignorance is bliss until its revealed.

Different RE5 Collector Edition extras for PS3 and X360..

Resi 5: Console exclusives revealed

When you're finally able to grab a copy of Resident Evil 5 next year, you will find different goodies in the box depending on which console you buy it for.

Capcom has revealed a bunch of console-specific exclusive extras, giving multi-platform gamers a bit of a decision to make.

The PS3 version will come with a special making-of video feature, which was apparently made by Hollywood staff (so hopefully a little better made than some shaky cam footage in a dull motion capture studio).

On the other hand the 360 version will come in a metal case with a soundtrack CD included called the "Biohazard 5 Selection Track", according to Japanese translations of the official Capcom site.

The 360 extras will only come with an initial 'Delux Edition' allotment, and when they run out you'll just get the game on its own. Whereas the PS3's video comes on the same disc as the game, so expect that to be a permanent extra.

Capcom also revealed a special Limited Edition version of the game (pictured), which comes in an even fancier box, packing a 2GB USB memory stick, a 32-page art book, and a waist pouch that resembles one used in the game.

All very nice. Which version will you be opting for if you own both systems?

Directions to get to the Biohazard 5 (Resident Evil 5) demo on XBLM

First make an account and set the region to Japan

Get through the rest of the setup (shouldn't be that hard)

When on the Dashboard, When you're on My Xbox go up and press A on the controller box.

On the next screen, press A on the first box it goes to (should show a folder with a magnify glass)

Then press RIGHT 2 Times and go down to Game Demos

It will show the covers to the game demos, and Biohazard 5 is the first one, select it, and then select Get Demo!

No this isn't illegal, no it won't get you banned, and no you don't need modified firmware.

All you need to do is burn it to a DVD.
