Adding MKV to iTunes

Recommended Posts

well, I just got a new 27" iMac ( ) and wanted to add all my HD movie collection to iTunes, that off course is not possible, so I've downloaded Perian; now I can play them with quicktime (I already played them with VLC, that's not the issue) and if I copy them to the Videos folder they show up on Frontrow but:

- they are choppy and skip a lot (in frontrow) but they play perfect in QT and VLC.

- Obviously I can't add any meta-data like covers or info.

I know about VideoDrive 2, but I want a zero $ dinero solution if possible, and may be convert them to H 264, I know that MKV is just a container with a H 264 and an audio file inside it, but I don't want to extract them and then remux them.

well as you can see I have a Mac now, so there's a lot of things I don't want to do :p

Thanks in advance !!!
