Auto Tag MP3

Question

I need an auto tagger, for about 10k songs, which actually send s a sample to check the song.

I attempted a year or so ago to use an auto tagger and organiser which absolutely destroyed my file system, and moved and renamed everything wrong.

So I have lots of tracks without ID3 tags, which have names like Artist - Track 1 etc.

So I need it to actually send it someone to listen to the song.

I prefer free, but I'm getting sick of this.

Ideas?

MusicBrainz is good to start with, but I found that doesn't tag entire albums correctly (inconsistent year, track number, etc.). So afterwards, I suggest using Winamp's auto-tagger to fix the rest of the tags. It uses the Gracenote database which works very well, but requires some of the tag info to already be present.

It keeps crashing my Winamp.

I want something I can just set, and walk away from, not having to put lots of tracks, wait, then repeat the process just to keep Winamp happy.

Alright, so it seems to be working all good, thanks so much.

However, the prgram I used also put them in all sorts of files based on the dodgy tags most songs had.

So eg.

Folder Name "Track 1" "Track2" etc. all with 1 track.

Can Winamp rearrange the folders for me (I've been using Winamp for years, but have never used the library). Or I have Media Monkey and iTunes. Or I can download something. A quick Google gets all sorts of results, most of which are trials etc.

So hopefully someone knows one that I can use. Hopefully Winamp.
