Here's my lil prob. I live in The Netherlands (Europe) and over here uses PAL-B for their tv signal. I have a AIWA tv which supports European, Asian and American tv signals.
I have my desktop pc (Dell Dimension 4100, P3 933Mhz, 512MB RAM, 64MB Nvidia GeForce 2 MX400 w/ tv-out), which plays my Divx, Xvid and DVD movies fine on the pc and/or tv.
I use an S-VHS Cable from the video card to the S-CART
. The S-Cart then plugs into the rear of my tv and VOILA! It works fine regardless whether I set my card to PAL-B or NTSC.============

I also have a laptop (Alpha AMD XP-M 2500+, 512MB RAM, 64MB Mobility Radeon 9000 w/ tv out), which plays my Divx, Xvid and DVD movies fine on the laptop only. When I enable the tv-out feature from the laptop, it only shows black & white on the tv. I tried setting it to PAL-B and all other PAL formats. I also set it to NTSC. I also tried setting it by the country, and to no avail, it only shows B&W on the tv. I've also restarted the laptop with the S-VHS chord plugged into the laptop, but still no luck.
I went by a friend who also has the same type setup (S-VHS and S-CART). It play fine and in colour on his tv. I didn't even have to restart or anythin, it just worked fine. I came home and plugged up my shizznit and it only shows B&W still.
I went by another friend and his tv has the direct S-VHS input so I tried it there and it worked fine and in colour also
Oh, I'm also running Win XP Pro SP1 (Eng version) on both machines with all of the updates that Windows Update shows me (for both machines). I also downloaded the latest drivers from ATI (Omega & Catalyst drivers) and still no luck.
Any answers or help anyone?
