Go to the chat.

Two changes I have noticed:

1. Click the Colors button. There is now a small color chart to pick colors from.
2. Look at the list of users currently on the chat. It's slightly different now.

While you're at it, USE THE CHAT! (lol)

Not if I have to install Java to do it..
BxBoy
I wonder if a chat room can be done w/o Java.

If you don't want to get Sun's Java runtime, get Microsoft's Java runtime.
kagaku
I don't want either, heh.
Toxicfume
And the best of all is the window scrolling works good now! yay!

Too bad - half the net works on it - there's not really an alternative language (apart from ActiveX, but then Linux users would complain wink.gif).

It looks much better, not that anyone is actually chatting. hmm.gif

I never bother to go there now because no-oen ever chats, same with the irc channel no.gif

I cannot see most of the window. "Floating" it just makes it worse. On top of my screenshot is the docked applet, and on the bottom is the floated applet. What is up with that?

Java = Horrible programming interface made by Sun
JavaScript = Clientside scripting language used on the web, developed by Microsoft.

Half the internet certainly does NOT use Java, and I very much doubt that half even uses JavaScripting.

Sorry - Figure of speech.
What I meant to say is that a decent chunk of the net uses Java/JavaScript, so much so that you would be missing out on a fair bit of stuff by not using Java. BTW, I personally think that Java/JavaScript sucks.

How about a PHP Generated chat???

There's nothing wrong with Java itself (esp. Sun's version)

Problem is the programmers most of the time.

I haven't missed out on anything yet, I rarely see anything using Java these days. Almost everything is flash based.
