Tiger won the PGA player of the year despite not winning a major or the money title. But he did have the lowest scoring average of the year with a 68.13.

Its his fifth in a row, nobody else has one more than 2 since they began giving the award in 1990.

Craziness, he still deserved it I think.

He won because of consistency, thus the low score, even though he never won, he never once missed the cut, the first in golfing history in a year

i agree but he doesnt seem to be the same golfer he was 2-3 yrs ago when if he played youd be almost certain hed win

i dont get it. he was below average this year and still gets #1... thats like naming the nfl season mvp before the superbowl.

Ironic thing is, he played in only 2/3 of all the tournaments, too.
