Still waiting on my powerbook, but anyways just reading some information about Panther and such and I saw something baout the font manager and such, so does that allow to install of TrueType fonts? Im really into graphic design and would like to keep my windows fonts I have becasue some of them are pretty good. If they cant be used anyone know of sdome good font sites?

Font Book allows the install of basically any type of font, including Windows TrueType. You're in luck.

Sorry to hijack your thread, does anyone else feel as if FontBook is really slow and unresponsive? I've got only the default fonts loaded.

fontbook imo is slow.... but maybe i just have a big font collection...
i got some pc fonts and i installed them into my mac with no troubles it was really easy. just open the file and click on "install"...

Well you do have two high end Macs!
you could use truetype fonts in jaguar too, heh.
fontbook is kind of slow for me, but it sure is a hell of a lot faster than trying to preview all my fonts in photoshop ;P

I only have a few hundred fonts, but FontBook isn't that slow

I dont think it is that great of app though, it is a pretty small *new* feature to me....
