I just wanted to announce that I am going to begin work on a Windows port of the EYLO Visual Style, though it won't be released until I get permission from the author, but I'll place all progess of this VS here.

Yeah.

It's an awesome skin, and it doesn't seem like anyone else is going to do it, so I figured it'd just be better for me to do it myself.

This will be my VS debute, I've played around a lot with Style Builder, but never released anything. But don't worry. I shouldn't have much trouble with this. Hopefully I'll be able to post a few screens tonight. I'm working as hard as I can on it, at this very moment (:

you are going to have to get creative with new caption buttons, but other than that, you shouldn't have too many other problems..

good luck though, if you can pull it off and get permission im sure you will make a lot of people happy.

That didn't even come to mind, but I'm sure I'll make something that'll look good and fit well with the theme.

I've been playing around with it. I'd say it'll be another week until I got something that is "releaseable", though I won't be able to release it until the author gives me permission, if he does.

I am sure that the author (Max) of the original theme will give you permission. Since other themes on his site were ported before.

Also, I got word that KoL was suppost to be releasing a version of this, though at this point, that's unconfirmed.

Anyone here know how to extract the resources from OSX themes? If anyone can let me know, I'll start work on a couple of OSX ports myself.

hmm... this one is very tricky to answer. personally I guess it's based on HALO because it looks somehow like the menuscreen of HALO. but this is only my personal opinion. if somebody thinks it reassembles HALO because the windows 2000 professional cd has holograms on it and you have to enter a serial too for that, don't be afraid to post YOUR opinion, no one will hurt you!

I haven't played Halo, but the logo for the Apple menu looks like the logo for Marathon. That was such a good game
