So who else will the Os pick up this off season?
CatnipOligarthy
wheres the option for neither? the yankees will get guererro and the cubs will get pudge, the orioles might be able to get javy

Well, i have a good feeling that now with tejada signed, Vlady may come on board. He wasn't pleased with the number of spanish speaking member of the team. But, tejada speaks it, Mora speaks it, Pudge speaks it (if we sign him). So, maybe he'll jump on board.

I am very pleased with Tejada, but Vlady and pudge will rock.
....
Null Vote. Neither.

I think they'll get both. They got the money to spend, and it really doesn't seem any other teams are willing to spend for those two guys.

I'd prefer that they stay away from Javy Lopez entirely. He is too old.

Good, but old.

I think that pudge is as good as done. And Florida can't come up with the money for Vlady.

since its my 'hometown' baseball team (since there are no other teams around me) they should get them both... maybe they will starting winning then.

nah, i live in northern va... but its the closest mlb team to me. i grew up watching cal and all them, so they have kinda been my team for a while.

They'll get both. The yankees will not get Vlad because they just signed Sheffield. They have a solid outfield. Kenny Lofton, Sheffield, and Hideki Matsui, with Bernie most likely a DH. There's no reason for the yanks to even want Vlad anymore, which they don't. And the Cubs WILL NOT get Pudge because he's asking for too much, and for too many years. Cubs want to give 2 years, Pudge wants 4 or 5. It's more likely that the Cubs will get Lopez than get Pudge.

The only other possible place Vlad could go is Florida, because of the large spanish speaking population. But Florida is cutting payroll. They may get Lopez to replace Pudge though.

I think Vlady is a solid investment for the orioles. But, I am worried about Pudge. He proved himself last year, but if the orioles sign him for 4-5 years, i think the remaining two years may be a waste. Well, maybe he can transfer to 1b or something like Piazza wants to do..

or he could always DH.. its a crappy rule, but it helps players like that stick around longer
