Been toying around in Max lately, and decided to make some new wallpapers.
Made in 3dsmax. The object is just a few weird geometric shapes I threw together and manipulated using the FFD 4x4 cage modifier, essentially skewing, twisting and morphing it. Twas rendered using a skylight and some pretty high Global Illumination settings, which took a little under 2 hours to render at 1600x1200. God my computer chokes on its own puke when its in Max most of the time, especially when editing the model. I had to trim down some stuff so its manageable for now.
I have an animation of it too, a nice camera that sweeps all over the place. Took only 20 minutes to render without the advanced lighting, but when I activated the skylight, the ETA on the final frame to render was 10 hours. 1000 frames, or 43 seconds worth, and thats in 320x240 too. Anyway, as usual requests for smaller resolutions can be made, and they'll be attached in this thread. Different colors/angles will be rendered and posted here too when I get to them.
