Okay so I disabled Windows File Protection to do something with GUIReplacer (GANT) and then restarted my computer and boom, cannot load msigna.dll then I went into recovery and replaced the msigna.dll file with the one on my cd rebooted the comp and now it says unable to start winlogon.exe shell32.dll is missing.

Anyhelp would be appreciated right now I am gonna go take shell32.dll from the cd, hope this works!

Hey bro, what you should do is reinstall windows by booting the CD hitting Install Windows, and then Repair windows. It reinstalls all the dlls and stuff for you. The only layback is that you'd have to reinstall the newest directx or something.

1. Boot to Recovery Console.

2 . type the following commands
cd system32 [enter]

ren winlogon.exe winlogon.old
ren msgina.dll msgina.old
ren shell32.dll shell32.old
ren shlwapi.dll shlwapi.old

cd .. [enter] (please note there is a space in between cd and ..)
cd servicepackfiles\i386 [enter]
copy MSGINA.DLL c:\windows\system32
copy SHELL32.DLL c:\windows\system32
copy WINLOGON.EXE c:\windows\system32
copy shlwapi.dll c:\windows\system32

if servicepackfiles directory not there then expand from the i386 folder as follows:

cd i386 [enter]
expand msgina.dl_ /f:msgina.dll C:\windows\system32
expand shell32.dl_ /f:shell32.dll C:\windows\system32
expand winlogon.dl_ /f:winlogon.dll C:\windows\system32
expand shlwapi.dl_ /f:shlwapi.dll C:\windows\system32

3 Type EXIT and hit enter
