Hi folks!

The response to Everafter has been great so before I describe the package, I'd like to thank everyone who gave me constructive and helpful input.. at Neowin, Deviantart, Bfarber, and IOE. Thats what kept me going on this project when I was ready to scrap it.

Everafter is a bright and original skin, easy to use but still has a unique 'feel' about it. This release (next one is final) includes several noticable changes:

- New tray
- New taskband buttons
- New caption buttons (close, min, max, etc)
- New tabs
- New Glyphs

..as well as several minor changes to alot of parts.

Also v3 has 2 new colors for a total of 3:

Oluv : Olive
Skye : Blue
PB : Peanut Butter

All the colors have thier own shellstyles and a compact-menu option for a total of 6 variations. I've included 6 wallpapers, 2 for each color scheme (1280x1024 jpg)

The final version of Everafter (v4) will include 2 more colors, custom icons, a winamp classic skin, a rainlendar skin and a sysmetrix skin... if anyone is interested in adding anything else to that package, please contact me!

please note the icons I used in this screenshot are not included. They were done by one of the skinning greats: Chadamus ... from his H2so4 (olive square ones) and Indemnity (all the rest) projects.. get them here: chadamus

honestly, i don't like the start menu much; it's waaay to elaborate...

thats cause I'm an 'elaborate' kinda guy

Nice, tasty and minimal

I'm so glad I downloaded this and applied it cause the screenshot doesn't do it justice.
This theme is absolutely beautiful!
So much attention has been paid to detail, and you have obviously put many, many hours into this masterpiece.
I love the things like the unicorn on the taskbar tabs, the start menu detail, the plaque-like tab and toolbar buttons, the programs list in the start menu.
The scrollbars are beautiful and the tabs and toolbars are perfect.
The shellstyle is just omg, so nice and so original.
This is the best original visual style I have ever seen and you have done so much work WB Skinner.

suicide ..yes I noticed the download does not work every once and awhile.. Try again in a few minutes.. seems to be hit-and-miss over at DA with my file.. I notified the DA staff about it. Unfortunately my own site is down for a couple days for a server upgrade and the file is too large to attach here (i think? - 1.3megs) Maybe I'll post it at bfarber.com and then update the thread..

Get rid of the unicorn icons, or at least a choice.

Pat yourself on the back with this one. I just feel kinda fruity with unicorn icons. But I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to use the theme.

wow, i must say this theme is original and very very well done. However, its a little too fruity for me to use with the unicorns and what not, i look forward to seeing some more themes from you though!

Once again you have raised the themeing bar to a new level...this is without question one of the most original themes out there...maybe it takes one to make a theme to fully appreciate the detailed work you provide us!

you right clicked internet explorer "internet properties",where as i went in to internet explorer itself and selected tools/internet options/...i know it sounds strange why there would be a difference..but there is...check it out....

well well...learn something new every day!..have you ever had this problem?.. its probably because I used one graphic for all the sizes eh?..hmm ..interesting.. I'll try to address that in the final release..thanks spyglass!

No offence WB but I agree about the unicorn thing. This would be my default theme if it were not for them.

no offence taken BMac.. I knew they wouldn't be everyone's cup'o'tea.. they're pretty 'hardwired' into the skin now and I'd have to change about 10 parts to get rid of them.. oh well.. I was just trying to find a 'theme symbol' of sorts and the unicorn just seemed kinda cool at the time.

I wasn't aware you had to be logged into bfarber to download ..sorry.. I'm always logged in over there all I can suggest is try back a DA every once and awhile until it works...I have no idea whats causing the download to be so weird

from the screenshots, it's a very elegant theme. i'd be sure to download it and use it when hmmxp goes out the door lol...im not sure if that'll be soon....very original and elegant theme. great work

ummm, my Evo is AWD? Right now mine puts 290 HP to the wheels, so if your ever in CT, lets run it ok?

he's right.. Evo's are 4WD... the thing is damn fast. definately a car i would want

I'll keep my sense of humour ...but my truck puts out about 2000 pounds a wheel, so don't let your sideview mirror hit my wheel rim

Just a quick update on what I've been doing with this skin... I've released a set of 173 icons (16x16 - 64x64) made specifically for Everafter as well as some iconpackager themes and dragon wallpapers..

hey thanks..glad you like the icons .. the yellow icon pack is out now!.. also the winamp skin and rainlendar skin are almost ready (so I'm told).. the tray is getting another re-work too.. look for v4 in a few days
