ps i am using 10.3, xp sp rc1 2126 if that helps anyone with the 6gb hd img etc(my config file was posted pages back etc)

I got it working by setting the mac up as dchp, adding the tapi driver net access to my network bridge(as i have 1gb lan, and wlan ap built on my board)

its runnig sweet

For some odd reason when ever I finish installing my CMD prompt says "reset" and then I try to run ppc ppccfg.osx and it will not boot the HDD incase you need to know I used the EMACULATION pre-formatted HDD but I am not sure what is wrong; could someone create a post with a full guide and links to the newest versions of everything and the patched including the fullscreen patched as well as a very good config file?

ok, i installed the vpn beta 2 driver, now if i use firefox or thunderbird it wont dial my adsl connection but when i run iexplorer it will.

any ideas?

is anyone using os x with their .img file formated as journaled?

Bluetooth: Maybe it is my config files as I borrowed it from another user and edited it to my using.

i don't have a problem, i just thought i remembered reading early on that there was a problem with using journaled. and i am reinstalling, so i wanted to know if there was. since there doesn't seem to be, i'll use that.

i justed edited the supplyed one to my liking, got sick of the gui's not working right for me(even tho i give them credit for there work)

I wish I could get networking But ever since I installed OpenVPN and I try to go to Properties of my LAN connection, explorer.exe crashes

Is your guys' installation useable? Mine takes like 30 seconds for anything to come up, too slow for usability.

I am in the process of writing my guid now. Should be done with in a week. I dont have much spare time hehe.

mine runs quite fast, some stuff in osx takes about 2 mins max tho to load etc, speed is quite good considering its only been out a short time

new pic, full screen, Konfabultor running, live updates from the net(weather showing my local info) still waiting for that osx update to finish downloading

Nevermind, thanks thought I checked out Emaculation and the had what I needed!

okay i got past my earlier problems i posted, pearpc now boots and mac os X detects the card, but i cant get a right IP or get DHCP to get ther ight ip for the net to work... i can Ping my computers real ip, aswell as my ISP's dns servers.. but nothing works..

did you try manual ip in pearpc(osx), and do you have more than one network card in your pc??

yeah i tried manual, i did exactly as what that tutorial says... in network connections in winXP i have my connection which is shared and the tap-win32 connection.... the tap win32 connection has its ip as 192.168.0.1

when i follow the tutorial says to put it to manual (since dhcp seems to not work) i put my ip in mac os x as 192.168.0.1 but it says it is already in use

put in like 192.168.0.55 in osx

right in your osx set it to 192.168.0.50 subnet 255.255.255.0 see if that fixes it??

when i do dhcp i get a weeriiird ip like 169.254.163.111

thats nothing like it should be if its dhcp, i dunno why i cant get it to work.. i can ping from os x to my xp machein.. or my isps dns name server ip's.. but cant connect to the net

bolerodan, how many network card you got and what windows version you using(rc1 etc??), osx version you got ??

i have 1 phsyical network card in my computer, i have windowsXP non sp, im using the ppc download from this link here http://www.kelley.ca/pearpc/pearpc_noarch-win32net-R2.rar which is R2, and im using mac os X panther

Even tho Mac's are overpriced you still need 2 operating systems for this. I assum you will need a fairly fast pc to do this. Even then I still dont see a reason for all this fus. I dont mean to sound like a jerk but it seems to me like a waste of money. That would be like running xp over 98. Please dont take this the wrong way but it might be better to buy a older mac like a g4 900 mhz or something.

i just downloaded http://www.kelley.ca/pearpc/pearpc_noarch-win32net-R2.rar the ppc from this link. uset hat. now i got it to detect it, now i just cant find a good combination of ip's to use for the net to work in mac os x

Just as a curious Mac user, how are you all finding the performance of Mac OSX under PearPC? As I can see, many of you have fully customized your OS which probably underlies the assumption that you all are finding the performance to be succesful.

KoL try to set your IP Address and your DNS Server to be the same.

well yeah its not bad performance but not up to true mac speed at all yet(some of the effects are very slow, some software(most ) runs ALOT slower that normal mac. but the emu is in its very early stage so it should get faster.(I think it needs acces to direct x or quartz emu for it to work at better speeds etc)
