Woohoo!
I got it working! I changed some values in the config file and now it works!
Actually I set the boot method to "auto", then I played around with my slave drive files (I enabled the OS X Install CD1) and enabled the Realtek network adapter.
Then, suddenly it worked. It must be a miracle!
But I got another question regarding PearPC:
Can you adjust the RAM to 768MB RAM and what is the hex equivalent to 768?

there ya go ..

So to get 768 megs of RAM you have to type -> memory_size=0x

Okay, Beta 1 Release 2 is hot off the compiler.
Quote -
- Added a Tray Icon, and PearPCFront now minimizes to the system tray
- Changed the way configuration files are generated. Instead of generating PearPC configuration files on the fly, PearPCFront now reads a template file in [InstallDir]\template.ppcfg. This way, you can change the way PearPCFront generates your configuration if a new feature is added and I don't release a new build quick enough :-).
- Added an "SDL" option. Since the SDL build uses text files for output (instead of outputting directly to the console), the method in which I read the output needs to change. Settings SDL to True will make the Session Log show the appropriate information.
- Added the resolution choice "Not Specified". In the SDL Build, when a resolution isn't specified, you can change resolutions on the fly :-).
- Properly associated ".ppcml" PearPCFront configuration files to PearPCFront! (Wow, InstallShield made that complicated..)
- The 'Hard Disk Creation Wizard' now works :-). Sorry about the error in the last build.
- In addition to fixing the Disk Creation, the Disk Creation no longer writes 0's on the entire image.
- 'video.x' error's have been corrected.
- "File -> Exit" now works (whoops :-P)
- "File -> Save As" now updates the file location line on the Virtual Machine page.
- Probably more fixes, but my memory is just as good as 10 year old fast page memory modules ;-).

I posted this on Neowin's thread about PearPC, but with 160+ pgs of information, it tends to get lost, so I thought I would post it here also. Sorry for those who have to read it both places!
It didn't seem like anyone has done a comprehensive comparison between the nightly builds and the SDL version, so I did some testing/benchmarking and here are the results:
My system specs:
Custom built P4 2.53 GHz
Asus P4B533 mobo
512 RAM
32MB nVidia GeForce2 MX 200
Windows XP Professional SP1
WD 80 GB HD SE with 8mb buffer
Networking: T1 with FreeProxy bound to the TAP win32 driver (I find this faster than tunneling)
PearPC Specs:
SDL.0003 with RAM set to 256MB and networking enabled. Screen set at 800x600 window
Nightly Build 6-3-04 with RAM set to 256MB and Networking enabled. Screen set at 800x600 window with 60ms redraw.
I was surprised that there really isn't much speed difference between the two. The SDL version seems faster because the video is smoother. But practically it isn't. I may or may not run some more test with the nightly build adjusting the redraw rate.
I think this is enough to give you the factors. So here is the chart!

Does PearPCFront do anything related to your network? Just curious because after installing it I had to go to Network in OS X and refresh my PCI card thing. It wasn't a problem or anything. The internet worked right away. I just thought it was weird. Did this on both pc's I had it running on.

You probably used the default MAC address, which was different from the MAC Address that *was* in your config file.

Why didn't you say formats instead of icons? Last time I checked icons have nothing to do with the format of a file. So really the problem is your lack of computer terminology knowledge.

Why doesn't PearGUI work for me? When I click "Run PearPC" the dos box appears, flashes "usage: ppc configfie" and then quits.
PearGUI.exe is in the same folder as my PearPC installation, and it is pointing to the correct IMG and ISO files. Is PearGUI expecting my config file to be a certain name? Either that, or it's not passing its own files correctly to the command interpreter.
And another thing...how does it enable right-click functionality in pearPC?

Make sure that you save the config file. Also, make sure that you don't have a setting checked that isn't supported by your version of PPC (Right click option isn't enabled on the current standard versions, so don't check that) and things like that. PearGUI is my favorite front end right now. Simple and effective!
